Radial Symmetry Mandala Lesson

RADIAL SYMMETRY

In radial symmetry all element are arranged around a center point.

The meaning of mandala comes from Sanskrit meaning "circle." Even though it may be dominated by squares or triangles, a mandala has a concentric structure. Mandalas offer balancing visual elements, symbolizing unity and harmony.

OLD TOWN ALBUQUERQUE

I spent an afternoon in Old Town Albuquerque on my road trip this summer. Although touristy, I found it to be a great place to walk around. There were some great local art shops.

Great door to a new shop that was still renovating.

LET'S START OVER

I did one blog post over 2 years ago. I had grand ideas of step by step tutorials, ONLY using professional-ish pictures from the "good camera." And of course I never blogged again.

So… I'm gonna try it again, with zero expectations. I'll post whenever, using whatever pics… even from my PHONE (God forbid).  I don't have to post again EVER if I don't want to!!

But hopefully I'll figure out, for example, how to post a banner picture that doesn't take up the ENTIRE screen.

Here goes!

OK, I keep saying I'm going to do this. I have a lot of time on my hands which I seem to fill with creative pursuits. I have no idea how to use this blogger nonsense and my brain could use some workouts learning new things. Someday, I may actually enter the work force again and practice writing complete sentences wouldn't hurt.
Beautiful Allium. This was taken at Norrviken Gardens just northeast of Bastad, Sweden.

So here's my first post. One of my favorite photos ever. Boy do I love that macro lens my husband bought for his camera... that I have since stolen.
